Friends Meeting House, Winchester

In conjunction with Winnac we have been helping out the Friends, a local group of Quakers in Winchester, look at ways of decarbonising their Grade II listed building in Colebrook Street, Winchester.

For over fifty years the building has served as a home for seven 'at risk' residents, a community hub enjoyed by various charities and socially engaged projects, and of course as the quietly powerful space for Quaker meeting three times a week.

We helped the Friends with the submission of a planning and listed building applications for new solar panels and are working on scheme designs for replacing their existing Natural Gas boiler with a state of the art Air Source Heat Pump, specifically designed for retrofit projects.

We are passionate about reducing energy usage and reducing energy costs, which all seem to be common sense to us, and we can help charities in a small way by assisting them with drawings, reports, and sensible advice to get all necessary permissions.

We also utilized a photogrammetry survey produced from images captured via mini-drone. The survey was completed by EvrBilt.

They can produce surveys like this for most projects and the level of detail from these is far greater then available on mapping applications and are ideal for aiding design. Take a spin around the survey here
